Dear fellow members,
I am running for President of the Hispanic Law Students Association in the upcoming elections and I ask for your vote.
A good president works to enrich the experience of his or her members. Accordingly, the President of HLSA should promote the interests of HLSA members as students, emerging professionals and members of the UDSL community. My program on your behalf will include:
- Moot Court Team – HLSA will sponsor and organize a yearly moot court team, thereby giving members the opportunity to participate in this enriching activity.
- Member Benefits – A revamped academic database with an updated outline bank, text & guide books, and other tools to enhance your learning experience.
- Social Connections – Salsa Nights, dancing lessons, and stronger relations with Hispanic organizations in the University and the greater Dayton community.
- Organization Exposure – Increased inter-organizational communications, an expanded membership, and a new HLSA website.
I have presided over the Latino Student Organization of the University of Dayton and the Puerto Rico Statehood Students Association, a national activist organization. In law school, I have been a member of the Hispanic Law Students Association, the Honor Council and the Moot Court Team.
It is my objective to provide you a HLSA that will be suited to your needs and to your betterment as an emerging professional. I count on your support to accomplish this common goal.
Sincerely,
José Cabrera
